Dualis Thrusters - Advanced Series

Dualis Advanced Series is the synthesis of experience of more than 20 years of work in the design and construction of thrusters and focuses the state of the art technology on the market today.

It is‘ the answer to the market, which increasingly calls for electric thrusters, thrust-power ratio high, and minimum dimensions.
Dualis BTM 20, Dualis BTM 30, Dualis BTM 40 and Dualis BTM 50 are the four thruster updated models CMC Marine has included in its range.

Dualis Advanced Series is the new frontier of the thruster.

WHY ADVANCED?

Dualis Advanced Series is the electrical thruster range designed by CMC Marine to overcome the problem of high volume and weight of the standard electrical thrusters: it uses a new generation of electrical motors, that coupled with the up-to-date CMC Marine pod, it offers all the advantages of the electrical thrusters while volume and weight of the entire system is dramatically reduced.

The electric motors adopted for the Advanced Series are for heavy duty use at the top level industrial standards. The volume of these motors is 30% less than a standard one normally installed, while the weight is up to 60% less.

The pod profile, made of cast treated and painted iron, has been designed in order to minimize the hydrodynamic resistance and reducing the external surface while the typical technical solutions that have always made the Dualis thrusters silent, efficient and reliable have been maintained so that, also the advanced series adopt the tapered roller bearings, triple seals on the propeller shaft, helicoidally gears, nichel chromo treated bushings to offer the perfect water tight.

Thanks to all these characteristics and to the use of the counter-rotating propellers, almost a trademark for the CMC thrusters, the Dualis Advanced Series thrusters offer a thrust of 30% more than the comparable standard models available today on the market with a much compacter and lighter machine.
